Ra was one of the most revered and important gods in Egyptian mythology. The god was mostly associated with other gods. In early Egyptian mythology, he partly had the guise of a falcon, making him Re-Horakthy (Re, Horus of the horizon). As the morning sun, he was associated with Chepri and as the evening sun with Atum. Ra remained important throughout the history of Pharaonic Egypt. The god was usually the focal point in religious texts and in creation myths.
