The Ascension of Jesus Wall Plaque
The story of Ascension, as described in the Bible, tells that Jesus stayed with his disciples for forty days after his resurrection. He gave them instructions and encouragement and appeared to them at different times. On the day of Ascension, while blessing them, he was taken up into heaven before their eyes. Two angels appeared to the disciples and assured them that Jesus would return in the same way.
The Ascension is seen in Christianity as a victory march, with Jesus having overcome death and sin and now being in heaven, at the right hand of God. It is also a promise for Christians that they will eventually be with God.
