Statue of Liberty Veronese Design
The Statue of Liberty is a statue in New York Bay. The statue symbolises freedom, one of the core values of the United States, and also serves as a sign of welcome to all: returning Americans, guests and immigrants.
The statue represents the Roman goddess Libertas, holding a torch in her right hand and in her left a plaque with the date written in Roman numerals ‘JULY IV MDCCLXXVI’ (4 July 1776). Her crown with seven points symbolises the sun, the seven continents and the seven seas.
