Odin bronzed bust
Odin is the supreme god of Germanic Norse mythology. Wotan sacrificed an eye to get a sip from Mimir's well of wisdom. Along with Heimdall, he is considered the creator of the classes (kings, peasants and servants). Odin is married to Frigg, who bore him the sons Thor, Balder and Tyr. He is worshipped above all as the god of war. Due to later events, he is also worshipped as the god of poetry, runes and the dead. Odin houses the fallen heroes (Einherjer) in Valhalla, who were led by the Valkyries from the battlefield to Valhalla to gather there for Ragnarok.A typical identifying feature of Odin is his magic rune spear, which symbolically opened the battle in Valhalla with the battle cry -Odin has us all-.
