Child Rama of Ram Mandir - Ram Lalla Veronese Design
The statue of the child form of Rama in the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is officially known as Balak Ram (which literally means ‘Child Rama’). The term Ram Lalla (‘Baby Ram’ or ‘Little Ram’) is also widely used by millions of devotees and in popular parlance to refer to this specific manifestation of the Hindu god Rama.
Characteristics of the statue (Balak Ram)
Age: The statue depicts Lord Rama as a five-year-old child in a standing posture. This is because the temple was built on Ram Janmabhoomi, the mythological birthplace of Rama.
