Dragon Ball Z Wallet Embossed Logo with Chain
Dragon Ball Z (abbreviated DBZ) is a Japanese anime series based on the manga Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama and produced by Toei Animation. The series is considered to be a classic example of mango shonen.
Characteristic of the series is the shift from a more comical, light-hearted story to a darker action-oriented piece. The protagonist goes through an endless cycle of fighting, winning, losing and improving. In the series there is talk of the afterlife (The Other World) and time travel.
The term Super Saiyan is also used. This means a level that has been reached, with the characters' hair turning golden, the eyes emerald green, and their power greatly increasing. They also become more aggressive, surrounded by a bright aura.
